L and M Carpet 3 in 1 Purse with Lucite Handle

A super favorite of mine, this purse has an interchangeable exterior that can be flipped from a fun paisley print to a shiny black patten look. The original purse is a navy bengaline and the interior is a navy blue satin.  It is signed in a gold stamp inside “L and M Made in the USA Pat. No. 2809685″ which is a handbag designer Lowery and Mund of New York who regularly advertised in Vogue.  It measures 7 1/2″ tall, 9″ across and 3″ wide.  It has a super stylish lucite handle.  The stunning paisley is the most powerfully designed side.  A 2″ by 1/2” light brown stain mars the brilliance of the print.  It appears there are a few more spatter marks near the stain.  A carpet cleaner or mild soap may clean it up or a dry cleaner may be able to help remove the stain.  It still is a super stylish 60’s look.
