Altered Couture Bustier
Black satin bustier transforms into altered couture. Hand painted and dyed peplum accentuates the sensual silhouette reminiscent of the 40s.Darling flower dotted with genuine pearl accents the bust.
Detachable tulle shoulder wrap adds drama to its simple luxury. Pearl, amethyst and garnet gemstones accent the hand painted flowers and swirls. Velvet ribbon edges the peplum. A 3″ black velvet sash defines the waist ending in the back with a large bow. Two buttons sewn onto the rib area allow the shoulder wrap to be worn off or on. Stretchy elastic hugs the shoulders allowing for size flexibility.
This altered couture bustier spans from 40s to 80s style fashion.
About the bustier:
The bustier originates from SEARS with original tag. No size exists on the product. However, it fits a 34B perfectly. The cups are slightly padded. The body retains structure and support with original stays.
About the detachable shoulder wrap:
A 1 3/4″ black elastic band holds 3 rows of voluminous black tulle ruffles. This band originally served as a skirt or belt. Appears to be 80s fast fashion.
About the peplum:
The peplum’s fabric originates as excess fabric from a revamped crinoline. Dyed grey, the fabric stands out with hand painted metallic flowers in burgundy. Abstract swirls gives it a pop art feel.
The model is petite.
