50s Barton Cashmere cardigan with luxurious mink collar screams UPSCALE. Gorgeous!
50s Barton Cashmere cardigan sweater is the perfect expression of luxury. Rhinestone buttons and voluminous mink collar shouts upscale CLASSY.
First of all, the lining defines 50s style. Silk chiffon lining and protects lace inside the sweater. Only slight yellowing around the neck blemishes the lining. No tears or yellowing inside other than the neckline.
Another detail is the gathered sleeve at the cuff. The sleeve measures 18″ from shoulder to cuff notably a glove sleeve. Hence, the model wears gloves to show off this feature. Also, two sparkling rhinestones buttons accent the wrist. A stunning rhinestone clasp closes the sweater at the waist. Unfortunately, two rhinestones are missing from the clasp but does not detract from the luxury.
The sweater measures flat 18″ from armhole to armhole. The waist measures flat 14″ across. Because of the width of the bust and waist, the sweater is not PETITE. Probably, a 36. So, it will sure to satisfy a fuller figure.
Most noteworthy, a mink collar sweeps around the neckline. At it widest point it measures 4 1/2″. The fur is soft supple with no splitting. One spot in the back shows a dark smudge. I am unsure as to whether this is soiled or inherent to the fur. The fur looks natural and un-dyed.
The overall sweater condition is VERY GOOD with normal vintage wear.
