Bib Collar with bright flowers interplays innocence and drama. Rich hand painted flowers attach to a satin scalloped bib in solid black. Pearls, crystal and french jet accent the centers of the soft lace flowers. In addition, a repurposed vintage frog closure and crocheted flower closes the collar. As a result, wear it with closure on the front or in the back. Reversible!
Hand dyed lace and crochet work construct the bright flowers. Genuine pearls and hand embroidery accent the flowers. Most important, this collar is totally created from upcycled vintage textiles.
Wear this over as a neck piece or layered over your favorite top. Bib collars offer fashion versatility. Can be flipped and worn with closure in front.
The collar hangs 7″ from neck to front bottom edge. Shoulder width measures 5 1/2″ from neck to tip of shoulder. Bib hangs 8″ in the back.
About this collar:
Found in a box with other vintage trims, these pristine collars- I was told- once belonged to a seamstress. Too powerful and too beautiful to leave behind, these satin bibs have become perfect medium to present the power of recycle, repurpose & rediscover. The actual source of these collars is unknown. Possible dating to late 70s early 80s.
