Ballerina Dress 50s Rockabilly
A sweetheart bodice relays the innocence of this 50s Ballerina Dress. Hand dyed and painted, this 50s slip transforms to the perfect ballerina look.
While a claret splashed hem accentuate the bottom, amethysts and satin florettes embellish the skirt’s front and back. Hand dyed black vintage lace trims the hem and sweetheart neckline. A hand painted silk flower accents the bodice. A black satin sash ties in the back and highlights the waist.
The dress measures 36″ across the bust. The waist measures 34″. No zipper. An accordion pleated circle skirt identifies this as authentically 50s.
The model wears several layers beneath the skirt to give it drama and flounce. The dress demonstrates perfect layering. The dress, however, is sold separately.
About the slip:
The original tag attaches to the side seam which is half frayed. The legible portion reads “…mprufe” 100% NYLON 38. Amethyst gemstones and satin florettes cover imperfections. The claret elastic and adjustable straps replace the original satin ones.
Upcycled and transformed by SLIPTIQUE.
