Black Bakelite Cameo Pin represents the style of the Art Deco era. Victorian Revival flourishes in the 40s. Cameos are a big part of Victorian designs.  Therefore, this classic styled cameo loosely dates from this period.

The impressive piece measures 2 1/2 X 2 3/4″. The cameo face measures 1 1/2 X 1 1/4″. The cameo dominates the look of the pin with its raised center. Grooved line impressions in a squiggly parallel arrangement accentuate each corner and draw your eye to the cameo face. The width of the pin arches. Consequently, at its widest point the pin is almost 1/4″ thick. The clasp on the back is in good shape.

This truly dramatic pin accentuates the magenta velvet scarf.

For its age and rarity, it is in EXCELLENT condition.
