Tori Richard is a Honolulu fashion house that opened in 1956 and is still open today. They are known for their fashion prints bringing Hawaiian fabric culture to the forefront of the fashion world. ” The clothing was very fashion forward and was often featured in leading fashion magazines.” Vintage Fashion Guild
The fabric design is one of the outstanding features of this halter dress. In a neutral palette the design is a gentle watercolor print that reinforces the easiness of the dress’ attitude. It was originally a maxi dress –a famous style of the 70’s of which this dress is from. It has been hemmed to be a mini dress. It has a rolled machine hem. The front halter bodice has gentle padding in the cups and a side zip. The back of the dress– the most sexy of the design– has two covered buttons at the neck and has a striking open back strap. The fabric is a soft synthetic. Hand washable.
The label says Tori Richards and is dated from 1970.
