Lace and eyelet combine to create this breezy twenties piece.
The fabric and the style dates this piece to the early Twenties. Made from a natural cotton, the dress was probably a fun day dress. Shown over a modern slip, this piece has many layering possibilities. With some Edwardian fashion influences, it may have been used over a long skirt. Or maybe, you can try it over a pant for lots of style!
With no zipper or button on the side or back, it has only two snaps on the neckline to give it a bit of room for dressing. It shows a natural aging in coloring. It has not been bleached or laundered.
It measures 42″ across the bust and 34″ at the dropped waist. The shoulder to the waistband is 20″. The total length is 43″ from shoulder tip to hem bottom. The shoulder span is 15″ across.
The only wear in the dress is under one armhole where there has begun some fine tearing. The lace and eyelet are in great condition. No aging other than the natural oxidation of the fabric.
Very good to excellent condition for its age.
