An early 60’s cocktail dress has empire waist and a slimmer skirt silhouette. With two pockets (yeah, pockets…), this black and pink dress definitely shows the evolution of dressing toward more fashion freedom and functionality. The inside shows a label “naturally Natlynn New York” and was probably a dressmaker’s creation. Made from a chintz-like fabric– maybe silk– the dress is well fitted with darts and would need a small frame to wear it. The bodice is a black floral lace over pink with a pink bow. The straps are 2″ wide and the total dress measures 33″ from shoulder to bottom. The bust is 30″; the waist is 25″ and the hips are 32″ with pockets that may add a bit more volume. The model is a size 2. Very Audrey Hepburn in style. Excellent condition.
